      Comments:

I use this bike mostly for riding in NYC and it is perfect. I upgraded from a Navigator 2.0 as I was looking for more of a fitness bike but I am definitely not a road bike type of guy. I'm a 56 year old male so I am not looking to set speed records but I still want to work hard and get fit but my ultimate goal is to have fun. This bike is light and fast and looks great too in the matte black finish. I've read many reviews that complain about the seat but I've gone 60 miles in over 4 hours and had no complaints. Seems to be a great bike for the money. When I first decided to buy bike a few years ago, I bought the Navigator because of it's comfort when I first rode it. Fairly quickly though I wished I had bought more of a hybrid first. I kept the Navigator though as a spare, you know, just in case.

        Comments:

My commute to work is just over a mile. I bought the FX 7.2 Disc as a primary means of transportation. It is plenty fast. Very smooth gearing. Breaks can stop on a dime. Great bike for commuting or getting around town. It is more road-bike than trail bike. Gets a little loose on gravel paths and there is zero suspension so I feel every bump. Overall it's a great bike.

Good bike for recreational fitness and exercise. Very easy to ride. Light and durable frame. Seat gets annoying after long rides (>10 miles). Front derailer had to be replaced since several adjustments did not resolve problem.

I have lost 20 pounds in 4 months riding this bike. Love it so smooth and fast. I am now getting with mountain biking so I just purchased the 2014 x-calper 8. Both Treks are my babies now. You would not be dissapointed with the 7.2. I have taken it to different parks and use it to ride about 25 miles a day.

            Comments:

This bike was a wedding gift from my father. At 6'2 and 250lbs, I am a large man, and I have bent too many lighter road bikes, and I tend to punish my bikes badly (bent rims, broken pedals, etc.), leading to many costly maintenance trips. There is not enough I can say about how well this bike handles, or that it can take the punishment of riding 30-60km 6 days a week without straining in any way. It handles my size and strength very well, and I have nicknamed it 'The Tank' for this reason. It also does not sacrifice speed by being more durable, as I have been able to pass/keep up with several other cyclists riding the sleeker-road-bike models. Its tires are thick enough that they can handle going off the path/street if you need to pass joggers/rollerbladers etc, which is very useful on a crowded city path. Wonderful bike, and carries my recommendation, if you're a taller/larger individual you don't get much better than this racing locomotive.

I am a teenager so this is my first nice bike. I think that the FX 2.0 is a fantastic bike for anything. I use it to ride around town and the neighborhood with my friends. What I love the best about the bike is the gear shifting. It's smooth and easy. The only thing I wish the bike had is disk brakes. The brakes are still great though.
